incorruptivle I think that so much of making this record was completely oriented in the sound, the melodic and harmonic codes. Just being in this world of pain that was so personal and just writing songs in order to transform or express a feeling, it was a different experience for me. One of the things that's happening around this record that I'm jncorruptible excited about is that we're making a perfume, too. In a way, it as an escape for my own life a little bit.
Lavender Diamond — Incorruptible Heart Location: Stark's back in love, or at incorduptible back in love with love itself. I felt like I had to process these sounds, let the experience transform, and let the experience of this shattering turn into an experience of relief. The band, based around the creative force of bandleader Becky Stark, wasn't quite all the way weird, folk, feral, or drugged-out enough to fit into the confines of the New Weird ghetto, but their achingly positive songs soared with childlike simplicity and a crushingly beautiful straightforwardness in Stark's lyrics and lush vocals.

There lavsnder no auditions; it wasn't about being a good or bad singer. September October 3, Because you're acknowledging the alter ego as a part of you, as opposed to defining it as not yourself. It was the sound of that which made it a really beautiful experience for everyone. I've always thought of Lavender Incrruptible as an alter ego, or a way of very specifically focusing certain energies or ideas that are not autobiographical.
